Over the course of our lives we learn to care for the things that matter most. When something is broken, we fix it. When something needs tending to, we tend to it. These things are true of our homes and cars and bodies, but what about our minds? So many people are willing to surrender to the idea that the human brain goes bad. Like passengers at a bus stop, they stand idly by, waiting for the inevitable deterioration of age and time. We are not those people.

The Mindful Nation Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was inspired by U.S. Congressman Tim Ryan, author of the best-selling book, A Mindful Nation. Established in 2013, our mission is to help everyday Americans lead healthier, more fulfilling lives by promoting the use of evidence-based contemplative practices that support emotional and physical health, strengthen community, and increase our innate human capacity. We are building a national grassroots, ambassador-led community designed to spark, nurture and support a sustainable movement. This movement will inspire evidence-based mindful living programs and activities within five pivotal segments of our society: veterans, children, teachers, leaders and healthcare professionals.
